Policies and Conditions

Refunds

LI-Kick’s leagues, events and tournaments have limited space and cancellations hinder our ability to properly plan and organize, as well as disrupt costs that already incurred. For that reason, LI-Kick cannot offer cash refunds. In you are unable to participate, you have the following options when your request is made 14 or more days before the start of your season; (1) request a credit to use towards a future league, (2) transfer your registration to another league in the same season if space is available, (3) transfer your registration to another player within the same season. No refunds will be given if a player moves, for changes in work schedule, or for injuries. A player's or team's decision not to participate in a league they have registered for is not grounds for a refund.

Credit / Refund Request Form

Weather

Players will be notified by email in case games need to be canceled due to inclement weather. Games are always considered ‘on’ until you receive a cancellation email. The cancellation email will be sent as soon as the final decision can be made. Our goal is to provide a minimum of 90 minutes notice of cancellations. However, due to the inherent unpredictability of weather, this may not always be possible. When the weather is ‘50/50’ our preference is to play. If games are canceled due to weather, we will extend the season a week or schedule makeup games through the course of the season.

Injuries

Participation in adult sports, even at the recreational level, may result in injury. LI-Kick does not refund players' fees if they are injured. Participants play at their own risk. Athletic endeavors can be inherently dangerous. LI-Kick does not provide health insurance to players and does not cover medical bills if they are injured. Players should know the risks and think twice about playing if they do not have health insurance coverage.

No Regrets New Player Guarantee

We want joining LI-Kick to be one of the best decisions you make and if you’re not loving your first season, we'll give you a do over, and your second season is on us. The Fine Print (1) Must be your first season with LI-Kick. (2) Must be registered as an indy player. (3) Must attend at least 3 nights. (4) Must complete the guarantee form between the 3rd night you attend and 1 day after the league ends. (5) The do over is valid for an indy registration in the immediately subsequent season.

Shirts

Shirts are pulled the weekend before the start of the season. It is the player’s responsibility to ensure they have the correct shirt size on file. It is the team captain’s responsibility to have their team’s roster loaded and shirt preferences set by the shirt pull deadline. LI-Kick cannot guarantee players will receive shirts if their shirt information is inaccurate, incomplete or not submitted by the shirt pull. Our standard shirt is a Unisex Gildan 5000. Custom shirts with different designs, materials, colors can be ordered through the locker room for an additional cost and may have an earlier custom shirt deadline. Age

People above the age of 21 are allowed to participate in all LI-Kick events without any age-based restrictions. People between the age of 18 and 20 may only participate if they are playing on the same team with a guardian 21 years or older. People below the age of 18 need the expressed permission from LI-Kick HQ.

Team Management

Captain are defined as the person who signs up pays for the team. Captains privileges include adding teammates, selecting a team name and setting shirt preferences. Each sport has a roster cap which limits the number of players on a team. Captains can exceed the roster cap for a charge of $25/person. To request additional roster spots, email info@li-kick.com. Captains can add or drop players up until the roster lock which occurs after week 2 of a 7-week season. After the roster lock, no further additions are allowed to prevent the inclusion of ‘ringer’ players. Teams may use ‘sub’ players to prevent their team from forfeiting but should not use subs when their rostered players are sufficient. Only players listed on a team’s roster are eligible to compete in the ‘A’ bracket playoff games.

Cancellations, Delays and Makeups

In the event LI-Kick is unable to run a league, event or tournament, LI-Kick will offer transfer of registrations or full refunds. We reserve the right to delay league starts. Start and end dates may may be adjusted based on facility availability, weather and daylight conditions. In the event that a game needs to be cancelled due to factors beyond our control (such as weather), LI-Kick will do its best to schedule makeups, either by adding additional weeks or by playing multiple games on the same night. These decisions will be based on what LI-Kick feels is the best decision for the league. However these changes are not grounds for a refund.
