Congratulations to No Scrubs, our A Bracket champs this season! They had a perfect season, going completely undefeated. What a feat!
Also sending out more congratulations to Los Santos Borrachos, our B Bracket champs and GLS Electric, our C bracket champs!
And last but not least, Fatty McGee's, our bar champs! Thank you also for dealing with all of our shenanigans this season after our games and hosting us :)
We all had a blast hanging out with all of you again, making new and old friends, and of course, kicking some balls!
I cannot speak specifically on behalf of the gentlemen League Directors, but I have just won my 8th LI Kick championship and 3rd LI Kick beach towel. Safe to say, you know what I'll be sporting at the beach this summer (hint hint: it's not my itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka-dot bikini).
Special thanks to all of the umpires who came out this season to officiate and keep our games moving and grooving!
And of course, thanks to each and every one of you who continue to come out and play with us season after season, and make LI Kick all that it is!
As for what I am doing next: hoping to secure another kickball championship in a few hours in Freeport, and playing three nights of kickball this summer!
We've got a brief offseason here, so don't forget to spread the word about that cool adult sports league you play in that bring your weeknights to life and invite all of your friends, family, and enemies!
Speaking for just myself here, LI Kick has brought me to some of my best friends, and to my wonderful boyfriend. I am wishing the same for each of you out there, to find your people, and continue living your best lives.
