Congrats to all teams on an amazing championship night. It was truly like we were in our own US Open of Pickleball. Great matchups, and cheers all around. I want to shout out the champs of each of our brackets:
George, Fran, Matt, & Andrew took the A bracket and were able to take home the sweet LI-Kick hats!
Mark, Gerri & Jen had great competition and ended victors of the B bracket!
And last but not least, our winners of C bracket, who had to fight for their spot in the finals... L, Taylor & Domenick.
I wish I was able to watch every match in real time but hearing the clapping and cheering was a great way to end our season. Every team had amazing plays and truly played their hearts out which was incredible.
Like I mentioned last night, I hope you all keep playing pickleball especially in the off season. If you are returning to Melville on Thursdays next season, we start back up on November 2nd, so that's plenty of time to get practice in. I myself plan to keep playing pickleball and try to win the Thursday Women's Leage at Hempstead Lake next Thursday during their finals. I'll also be around next season directing Thursday Melville Pickleball, as well as playing Pickleball on Mondays at Glenwood Landing and Thursdays at Alley Pond Park. And as if that wasn't enough feel free to come find me on Wednesdays at Bowlero in East Meadow and say hi to my team Spare Me.
I hope everyone had a great time this season and had as much fun playing as I did meeting you all and watching you compete.
