Thank you all for another successful season of dodgeball. This sport and league is continuing to grow on Long Island and it couldn’t be done without you guys. This was the most competitive night of dodgeball I have seen yet with so many highlight plays and momentum swings and it was a pleasure to watch.
On the A bracket side of things, Juicy Peaches knocked out the favorited Jersey Meat Hooks in an intense game featuring some clutch catches by the Peaches that had the crowd going crazy. Jersey Meat Hooks got their revenge however beating Peaches back to back in the finals on again very close games. Meat Hooks were in sync and the corner protection of Evan and Nick allowed the middles to open up and work as a team for a well deserved win.
On the B bracket side of things Buncha Squids once again came out victorious beating Dodgert Horry in the B bracket finals showing that they belong in the A bracket. The team has been together for a year and when they’re working together their chemistry cannot be compared to anybody else’s.
Playoffs is my favorite time because at that point teams are on the same page and the skills really progressed. I always say everybody’s first season or two is always the hardest but if you guys had fun I encourage you to continue to sign up because by season 2 or 3 is when you really have a good sense of the sport
